Spring is here and I am loving it! Last year the Dravet Syndrome Foundation granted me a cooling vest. I have already been using it to play outside on some of the wamer days. It is so much fun to be able to run around in the sunshine and not need to stop to cool down! I am looking forward to even warmer weather so I can get in the swimming pool!

Last weekend we traveled down to Washington DC for the National Epilepsy Walk. I loved walking around the National Mall. We checked out the dinosaurs, airplanes and even took a carousel ride! I really enjoyed the metro rides too. The next day I walked all around the zoo! The panda bears were out and eatting. My favorite were the elephants! I couldn’t wait to find them!

Monday I had an appointment with Dr. Marsh my neurologist at CHOP. He is very happy with how I am doing. Don’t tell the seizure monster, but it has been over a year since my last seizure! This is a huge accomplishment. Mommy and Daddy are delighted at how much better I am talking and keeping up with my classmates. We are now starting to prepare for Kindergarten. Can you believe it?

This summer we have lots of fun activities planned. June 9th we will have our fundraiser at Harleysville Walmart. June 22nd is the Summer Stroll in Chestnut Hill with the EFEPA. We are working on a few more fundraisers for the Dravet Syndrome Foundation 1/2 marathon in September too. Hope to see some of you there!

Love,

Kye
