Purple Day for Team Kye! Wow over 200 people said they would wear purple for me and my epilepsy friends today. THANK YOU to everyone who participated and to everyone who sent pictures in. Mommy and Daddy posted the pictures on my homepage. They will also print out a copy for me to keep. Last year we had 57 people send us pictures of them wearing purple. This year we have seen pictures from all over the united states, close friends, total strangers, other kids with epilepsy, adults with epilepsy, and many of my Dravet buddies. We have heard many stories that mean so much to us like school kids getting there teachers and friends to wear purple (thanks Casey!), people going out just to buy something purple to wear (Karl), co-workers going out of there way to get purple into there scrubs or business clothes. Thank you everyone for being willing to spread the word that you support epilepsy. The more we talk about it, the less scary it gets, the more supported all those with epilepsy will feel and hopefully with more exposure, more research will be funded, more treatments will be found and eventually a cure!
